NT 190 vs NT 491 — which suits you?

NT 190 (Skilled Nominated) — 850 places

A permanent visa for skilled applicants who can show solid job prospects in the Territory and a genuine plan to live and work there for at least three years after grant.^[1]

NT 491 (Skilled Work Regional) — 800 places

A five-year provisional visa with a clear route to PR once criteria are met. It’s a practical option if you need points support or you’re building NT ties. Expect the NT to look closely at commitment and employability.^[1]
